Pointing my domain to my website

If you already have already purchased a domain, and would like to point it to your website, follow these simple instructions to create and A record in your registrar (domain provider).

1. Log into your domain name registrar, and navigate to the domain that you would like to use with your website.
2. Click on the DNS editor (this may be called "Advanced DNS", "DNS Settings", or "Configure DNS" depending on your registrar.
3. Next, you're going to want to add or edit an A record. If you were already pointing your domain to another website, you are going to want to delete or edit that one. Your Records editor could look like one of the following, depending on who your register your domain with:

   2. Go Daddy:
   3. Google:
4. Once you've located your A Record editor, you will want to add in 2 records withe the following information:
   1. Non-www
      
      • Name/Host: @
      • Type: A
      • TTL: 1hr
      • Value/IP/Data: 52.2.192.9
   2. With wwww
      • Name/Host: www
      • Type: A
      • TTL: 1hr
      • Value/IP/Data: 52.2.192.9
5. Click save/add

Once you have entered the records and saved them, please email us at [e-mail] with your login email address and the URL that you have pointed to your new website. Propagation of your domain to a new website can take up to 24 hours.
